Blazing Cheetah Buzz

PULP RIOT PRODUCT NEEDED:

#BlondeAF, 20 Volume Developer, Ghostblood, Fireball, Dark Matter

PREP & PRE-LIGHTENING

STEP ONE: Shave client’s hair to preferred length. Works best on shorter buzz with #2 guard at ¼ inch or 6 mm.
LIGHTENING: Use #BlondeAF with a 1:1.5 ratio, processing for 20-45 minutes at room temperature, checking every 5 minutes until a level 9-10 is achieved.
TONING: Tone out any unwanted warm tones by applying Ghostblood all over. Allow to process for 25-40 minutes, until warmth is toned out. Rinse with cool water until water runs clear, do not shampoo. Rough dry hair to prep for semis application.

COLORING

After toning, use a small, precise paintbrush to begin outlining the cheetah spots. First draw your inner Fireball spots, then outline in Dark Matter. Once outline is optimal and even, use a medium detailed paintbrush to fill in any remaining areas. Add spots of Dark Matter to fill in empty space.

STYLING & FINISHING:

After processing for 20-40 minutes, rinse with cool water. New anti-overworking base does not bleed but always use cool water when using multiple semi tones next to each other. Rinse until water runs clear. Finally, dry your client to seal the leopard look!

Y2K Chunkier Highlights

PULP RIOT PRODUCT NEEDED:

Exoplanet, #BlondeAF, 20 Volume Developer, Clear

SECTIONING:

Start with a radial section, letting the hair fall naturally. Continue to do ½” vertical radial sections throughout the hair on each side. Sections can be thicker for a chunkier appearance. Secure these sections with clips to ensure lines stay crisp and bold.

PRE-LIGHTENING:

Lighten alternating sections starting from money piece with #BlondeAF. Lightened sections should be lifted to level 8-10. For clients with thicker hair, divide each section into smaller subsections to ensure even saturation. Allow lightener to process for 20-45 minutes at room temperature, using cotton to keep sections separate. Check lightener every 5 minutes, reapplying lightener as needed. Rinse and shampoo lightened sections, then rough dry.

COLORING:
Section out lightened sections and apply Exoplanet with a brush. For even more color security, apply Clear to natural sections to ensure no color transfer during application. Allow color to process for 20-40 minutes. Rinse hair with cool water until water runs clear, do not shampoo.ections and apply Exoplanet with a brush. For even more color

STYLING & FINISHING

After rough drying, use a paddle brush and hair dryer to dry each section straight. Once hair is dry, run over any last sections with a flat iron. Use a tail comb to create a triangle section for face-framing pieces. Taking a horseshoe section from the tail of the eyebrow to the crown, then divide into two symmetrical sections, leaving enough hair in the back to provide volume and balance. Twist and pin each section into a small bun, pulling out pieces to add volume and shape. Seal the look with a light hold hairspray and use a boar bristle brush to smooth out any frizz or flyways.

KALIEDOSCOPE PLACEMENT: Begin your kaleidoscope placement with diagonal back, ¼” slices. Using a board, begin at the root, applying 1” lines of alternating color in order: Lilac + Clear, Blue Tux + Clear, Blush + Clear. Between each shade, blend lightly to limit harsh lines. Continue the pattern through the lengths of the hair. Use mesh sheets to keep sections from transferring onto blonde sections. Allow color to process 25-40 minutes. Rinse all sections with cool water until water runs clear, do not shampoo.

STYLING & FINISHING

Blow dry hair with round brush for a smooth and bouncy finish. Using a 1.5” curling iron, horizontally curl hair and pin to set. Once cool, unpin and brush out curls, then finish with light hold hairspray.
